  • Writing Community Host

    For two-and-a-half years (from January of 2022 to July of 2024), Darcey was the host of Zibby’s Writing Community, which she started in January of 2022 as a way to bring writers together. She grew the community from a few dozen participants to over 450 writers, book lovers, and creatives from all over the world. Each week, Darcey organized and hosted interviews with authors and lead discussions on the craft of writing.

    Memoirist Darcey Gohring is a freelance writer and editor based in the New York City area. She is the host of the Zibby Mag Online writing community and a writing instructor at The Writers Circle. She is a contributing author to the anthology book, Corona City: Voices From an Epicenter, and recently completed her first novel.   • Keynote Speaker: Horace Greeley Writers’ Symposium

    This 2021 event featured “Finding Your Voice,” a discussion by keynote speaker Darcey Doyle Gohring. She talked about her journey as a writer, the importance of finding the right collaborations, and staying true to your own voice in your writing. She is the author of an upcoming book inspired by her young adult life at Green Mountain College and the surrounding countryside. She is a contributing author to the anthology book, Corona City: Voices from an Epicenter. She spent six years as managing editor of a regional lifestyle magazine. When discussing her start as a writer, Gohring says she has been writing for over two decades and credits life in Vermont as a very important inspiration in her life.
